Your Business Improvement District is available to support you in anyway we can. Below are a list of services and access to resources procured by the BID and for the use of our district members.

Waste Management

The BID has a contract with Firstmile who provide a wide rage of sustainable commercial waste services. They offer daily collection and the BID funds every year for each of our members to receive a role of mixed recycling bags and stickers free of charge. In addition, services provided by them to our district are at a discounted rate. Their full menu of services and contact information can be found here.  To sign up to use the service, all you need to do is call them and say you are part of the Successful Sutton BID District. They will take care of the rest. 

Business Crime Reduction and Town Centre Radio

The BID provides support to our businesses through the presence of a BID Support Officer who works Monday to Saturday 09.00-17.00 and can work ‘on-the-street’ to support businesses to mitigate, prevent and manage business crime within the High Street. 

With over 11k of items returned to businesses from offenders in the past 18 months, the BID Support Officer has worked proactively and with London Borough of Sutton and Sutton MET Police to maintain a safer High Street for our visitors and businesses. 

This support is accessible through our Town Centre Radio scheme. A reduced cost service which enables both our day and night time economy to communicate about offenders with each other as part of a wider crime prevention and management strategy. 

The radio is hired through our partners at Wall to Wall Communications for £10.00 per week.

1:1 Business Advice / Cost Reduction Advice

We have an ongoing relationship with providers The Retail Group and Place Support Partnership to support our members on an as and when basis. From general business advice to cutting your utilities costs, these providers are able to assist and with a simple email to our offices we can arrange a conversation.

Workplace Training

Its worth keeping an eye on our emails, we will keep you updated on all of the reduced cost training we offer our members throughout the year which includes

  • Fire Warden
  • First Aid
  • Counter Terrorism / ACT
  • SIA
  • Food and Hygiene Certificate

This reduced cost resource supports you by cutting the costs of onboarding/upskilling your new and existing staff. Once a course has been arranged we will email you. 

Communications/Promotions and Events

The BID have our @enjoysutton platform across Twitter/Facebook/Instagram as well as other connected partners who can share our business information.

We actively share all social media posts across our platform and can schedule and promote any campaigns you have. All you need to do is send us your comms and timescales and we will share and boost wherever possible to increase the reach of your promotion. 

We have worked with several of our High Street venues and retailers to support them with specific footfall driving events. From sponsorship of walkabout acts and workshops to partnering to directly deliver/manage events and activities, we are happy to assist wherever we can.
