Along side funding to create a new Town Centre Manager role for our district and the wider borough, we have been able to secure further funding to enhance our BID Support Officer service from 1 to 2 officers on a Thursday and Friday.
We have recognised the need for further support over these two days given some of the recent statistical information provided by our key partners in Sutton MET Police. Whilst our BID Officer does regular patrols and is very much engaged with our Town Centre businesses, policing and council teams, it is a wide area to cover for one person. We are grateful to our contract partners Blue Light Group for finding us our second officer.
Whilst this role will very much mirror our current mid-week BID Support Officer role, it will act as a second level support to our Town Centre Manager in the reporting of on the ground issues in the Town Centre. Feel free to report anything directly through your Town Centre Radio or as and when you see them on patrol.
