As a BID we are often asked by our members for an opportunity to meet with other businesses and key partners in regards to issues impacting our Town Centre. This is often done through a form of Business Crime Reduction Partnership.
Whilst the BID has been pro-active for some time in the prevention and deterrent of ASB and Crime in our Town Centre through various schemes, a regular meeting of our businesses has not taken place since before Covid lockdown. We think its time to get that up and running again.
In partnership with Sutton MET police, we are hosting an event at Throwley Yard Cinema, Throwley Road, SM1 on 15th October from 2 – 4 pm. This initial ‘meet up’ will be part of Safer Business Action Week and we are delighted to welcome the MET Police’s Central Business Crime Hub to Sutton so that they can present on the national picture of business crime, learned best practice and offer support to our local businesses in tackling crime.
The BID and other partners will also be on site and there will be an opportunity for you to network and ask questions. Refreshments will also be provided.
