The BID were delighted to sponsor our #Sutton MET Police Safer Neighbourhood Team with these two E-Cargo bikes supplied with support by our new friends at Panagua Bikes. These bikes will be for the sole use of our neighbourhood officers and enable them to continue their hard work in our district.
The BID has been working closely in partnership with our Town Centre SNT and that relationship between businesses, our BID Support Officer and our Police has lead to some real key action on the High Street with the removal of repeat offenders and organised beggars. Dealing with issues like ASB, action taken on business crime and increased crime reporting from businesses has lead to Prosecution and CBO’s (Criminal Behaviour Orders) and Town Centre Bans for some really challenging offenders. We are really lucky to have a team so dedicated to supporting our Town Centre and engaged with our businesses and their BID.
Things are not perfect. We need to maintain a safer Town Centre for visitors and Businesses, but we believe partnerships like these are the way to get the job done.
