Sutton S.T.E.A.M Fair delivered by Successful Sutton Business Improvement District, Sutton Grammar School and London Borough of Sutton Cultural Services (Cultural Impact Award – Sutton STEAMs Ahead) was an event held over two days this July 2023.

This event has been delivered by the BID and Sutton Grammar since 2018 but this year we were able to be bigger, better and bolder with our exhibitors and activities thanks to the financial support of the Cultural Impact Award.

Friday 30th June was our Schools Day event at Sutton Grammar. 2000 Children from Schools, both primary and secondary, across the borough attended and participated with FREE science, technology, engineering art, cultural and mathematical activities both in the School campus and over into Manor Park. Workshops, performances and a closing test flight by the amazing Gravity industries made it a wonderful day of learning, inspiration and encouraged children to consider their future in the world of S.T.E.A.M based industries.

On Saturday 1st July, we took those exhibitors, added a bit more sparkle and moved the event to Sutton High Street, St Nicholas Center and Manor Park.

Over 9500 people of all ages visited various stalls, workshops, make and take and interactive activities. This event always comes with a much needed boost to our local shops and cafes and this year was no exception to that with reports from businesses being it was one of the busiest days they had.

The S.T.E.A.M Fair is a fantastic event for this Town Centre, and as one of two large events we organise every year it is always with benefit to business in mind.
