Celebrating Sutton this Summer!
From the End of July through to end September, we will be creating a series of events and High Street activations to increase footfall and dwell time, hopefully leading to a boost in spend!
There are many ways in which our businesses can be part of these wider events either directly or just use this as an opportunity of benefit.
Details of all dates and activities are below.
Think about extending your opening hours during active times, special offers we can advertise or getting fully involved by joining in with our activities. We will provide support with anything you want to do.
The event will be advertised from 2nd week of July and each week we will be sharing a performer schedule for the upcoming weekend along with a list of traders, activities and any other provision in place for that market. We will be advertising on socials, in local press and publications and our partners Urban Food Fest will also be sharing, blogging and working with several influencers to make sure this event has the reach it needs to be successful.
We have also scheduled larger events at the start and close of the Summer Stage activation to boost footfall with several other events also in the pipeline.
In essence, we will be driving as much footfall and interest into this space as possible throughout the summer so if you can be part of things, we would urge you to reach out.
Sutton Summer Stage and Streetfood Market
Operating from 24th July to 6th September, we will be working with Urban Food Fest on the delivery of a day to night street food market and performance stage in Trinity Square, next to Waterstones.
This Market will operate:
- Fridays 3pm – 8pm
- Saturdays 11am – 8pm
- Sundays 11am to 6pm
There will be FREE activities, performances including live music, cultural and dance-based performers as well as DJs in this space every weekend.
There will be tables and chairs, games, street performers and more.
The Streetfood offer is open to any Sutton based food provider to be part of and Urban Food Fest and the BID can support you with tables, chairs, gazebos and access to power if you need it.

Sutton Summer Stage Launch Event
Let’s celebrate everything great about Sutton! This is an opportunity to boost the Summer Stage with a wider launch event and we want everyone involved!
We want schools, activity providers, exhibitors, creators, crafters, makers, entrepreneurs and all sector business to be part of our event which will run from the Summer Stage location, down the High Street and into as many venues as possible.
There will be market stalls, activities, displays and talks taking place throughout the day, so why not be part of things? Could you host an activity? Could you deliver something in your business over the course of this day to drive further customer interest?
This event will run from 11am to 4pm on 25th July.
We are looking for #Sutton based organisations and collectives who can really showcase what an amazing and diverse community Sutton has.

Sutton Summer Stage Close Event UK’s Strongest Man
We are proud once again to host UK’s Strongest Man, where our High Street and Manor Park will be transformed into an arena for professionals which you can watch and enjoy throughout the day on Saturday.
We are working with Ibento Events to deliver some additional fitness-based stalls and activities to this event along with a ‘levelled up’ amateur competition in Manor Park you can get involved with.
The Summer Stage will act as another part of the arena for this event, so performances over the course of this day will be limited.
